Java Department Graduate Wins 2010 Duke's Choice Award

Today we congratulate Dr. Osama Mohammed Oransa for the Duke's Choice Award in the category of Innovative Health Care & Human Services by the project "Health Intact" that he designed for Pulse for Integrated Solutions.
We are proud that Osama is a graduate of ITI Intake 24 – Java Department. Osama is a SUN certified Architect and SME in web Services Technology. 
The Duke's Choice Awards recognize and honor extreme innovation in the world of Java technology, and are granted to the most innovative uses of the Java platform. When Osama was asked about the award he said: "Java's complete set of APIs for Web/Enterprise Solutions, Mobile Applications, and Standalone Applications made this dream come true".
Osama is a Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for the Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 5. He is currently working at HP as a Java specialist.
Before joining HP, he started his career as a developer at Golden Systems then he became a team leader and architect at Pulse Corporation. 
He worked as a software engineer at the IBM corporate center in Egypt for 3 years then he joined Oracle Corporation as a senior software engineer for 3 years.
Osama graduated from Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. He has an IT diploma from the Information Technology Institute, a Computer Science diploma from Arab Academy for Science and Technology and is working currently on a Computer Science Master Degree. He was a speaker at Cairo Java Developer Conference 2010; he delivered a speech about "RESTful Web Services". He also took part in the open source community and posted some projects on SourceForge.
